China Machinery Engineering Corporation Limited, also known as CMEC, is the operational and management headquarters of China National Machinery Engineering Corporation, the main operator of the design consulting and engineering contracting sector of China National Machinery Engineering Corporation. The company was founded in 1978 and is the first industrial and trade company in China, as well as the earliest Chinese engineering contractor to enter the international market.

CMEC has six central plazas in China, located in Fengtai District/Xicheng District of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Changsha, and Xi'an. Shanghai Zhongshe Plaza is located at No.1 Yingao Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai, with a total construction area of 68061 square meters. This is a commercial and office complex building built on top of a subway, consisting of a main building with 23 floors, an auxiliary building with 8 floors, and a commercial podium with 3 floors. As the headquarters of CMEC in East China, this project focuses on building three centers, namely the complete equipment research and development center/regional import and export center and the international freight center, becoming an important strategic layout for the entire group's business in East China.
